Orang-Utans in Not e.V. (Orangutans in peril) was founded in 2007 and aims at the protection of the orangutans of Tanjung Puting National Park on the Indonesian island of Borneo.

The following projects are supported:

• Rainforest protection
  • environmental education at Indonesian and German schools (together with Yayorin)
  • reforestation of cut-down rainforest
    
    
• Support of the Orangutan Care Centre & Quarantine close to Pasir Panjang
  • providing material for enclosure repair
  • financial support of medical care
  • providing financial resources and expert advice on the care of orangutans that cannot be reintroduced into the forest (read more)
